New Additions to DesigNerd

I have recently begun a new phase in DesigNerd's development. In addition to the lovely stickers, magnets, etc which are available for many items, I am adding several new colors to each. So far, the "iPwn" section has been thoroughly updated. Go here (or follow the title link) to view the new changes in this section. Within the coming weeks, I hope to have every section updated, and this will become a new standard in DesigNerd's product selection!
Bon Appetite!

DesigNerd Featured on GeniusTypes

I'm a big fan of GeniusTypes, a blog about life, entrepreneurship, and creativity, written by Brian Lee. His website was one of the first places I learned the term "Passive Income." I had been utilizing passive income for some time, but when I actually learned that there was a name for it, I wanted to learn more.
As I read through Brian's blog it occurred to me that DesigNerd and CafePress in particular are excellent examples of passive income, but neither of them appeared at GeniusTypes. So I emailed Brian and we exchanged a few words about CafePress and the good 'ol T-Shirt business.
To make a long story short (I think I've already defeated that purpose though) DesigNerd has been featured on the GeniusTypes blog in an article about using CafePress to generate passive income.
Many thanks to Brian Lee for his generosity and brilliant writings!

The Foundations of Nerdianity

Every nerd has his story. Here's mine:
As an 18 year old, soon-to-be college student, I came to the stark conclusion a few months ago that I was hardly able to flex as much financial muscle as I had hoped. I have never had what most people would consider an actual "job" or any kind of steady paycheck. What I have had, though is a multitude of resources at my disposal and some creativity to use these resources in unique ways.
Over our Christmas-Winter-Holiday-Don't-Offend-the-Non-Believer break a few months ago, I came across CafePress.com. It s a wonderful site whose goal it is to provide the necessary stock and production resources to designers in the world. For someone like me who has taught himself to use Photoshop and has no shortage of creative ideas, CafePress is a god-send.
The website allows designers to create designs for T-Shirts, Hoodies, Coffee Mugs, Stickers, Greeting Cards, and a wide range of other products, upload them onto those products and into their personal store, and promote their sales.
While I'm still trying to finish my 8th and final semester of high school, I find myself with a lot of time to think up new designs for my products, but very little time to actually design and establish them into my store. The purpose of this blog is to keep informed anyone who wants to be as to the current progress of the DesigNerd Online Store. While things may be slow for the store during the week, rest assured that I'll post some designing, nerdy, and just plain cool content during the week and putting up new products on the weekends!
